February at Oldway Heights Care Home was a month filled with fabulous moments and engaging activities that brought our home closer together. Here’s a peek into the heartwarming events that unfolded during the month:

National Serpent Day: Residents immersed themselves in the world of serpents, exploring fascinating facts and tales about these intriguing creatures.

National Compliment Day: Kindness and appreciation filled the air as residents exchanged thoughtful words and compliments, spreading warmth and positivity throughout the home.

DIY Pizza: Culinary creativity was unleashed as residents crafted their own personalized pizzas with an array of delicious toppings, making mealtime a fun and interactive experience.

Paignton Pier Trip: Residents enjoyed a scenic outing to Paignton Pier, relishing the coastal views and the calming ambiance of the seaside.

Valentine’s Day Cards: Love and affection bloomed as residents exchanged handcrafted Valentine’s Day cards, creating connections and spreading joy throughout the community.

Chinese New Year: The spirit of Chinese New Year came alive as residents crafted colourful lanterns, immersing themselves in the cultural traditions and festivities of the special occasion.

Dolly and Friends Performance: A lively performance by Dolly and her friends filled the air with music and laughter, creating a delightful atmosphere for all to enjoy.

Bert the Guitarist: Residents were serenaded with soulful melodies by Bert the Guitarist, providing a relaxing and enchanting musical experience for all.

Leap Year Games: Laughter and fun were abundant as residents gathered for entertaining games and activities to celebrate the unique occasion of Leap Year.

As we reflect on the memorable moments shared in February, we have had new plans put in ready for Spring weather and we look forward to creating more cherished memories in March.
