Highlights from our May 2024 edition at Oldway Heights Care Home!
Our residents were treated to a variety of enriching activities and events that brought joy and connection throughout the month:
Compliment Morning:
Residents engaged in heartwarming exchanges and shared kind words, fostering a sense of unity and appreciation within the home.
Alison the Singer:
Always a pleasure to listen to her voice, Alison lifted our spirits with her captivating performances.
Erica with Dance and Music Therapy:
Through Dance and Music Therapy sessions led by Erica, residents found new ways to express themselves and connect through the power of movement and music.
Animal HQ:
Furry and feathered friends from Animal HQ paid us a special visit, bringing smiles and laughter as residents interacted with their adorable guests.
The Beatles Tribute Show:
Wrapping up the month with a bang, residents were treated to a magical performance celebrating the timeless music of The Beatles, transporting us through an unforgettable musical journey.
Oldway Heights Spring Fete:
We are thrilled to announce the fantastic success of our Spring Fete held on the 18th of May at Oldway Heights care home! This year, our community came together in full force to support a wonderful cause, raising an incredible £2000 for Vranch House School in Exeter – a school dedicated to providing education and support for children with disabilities.
The day was filled with laughter, joy, and a wide array of exciting activities that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. From a bouncy castle to face painting, the brave encounters with reptiles, and the sweet indulgence of ice cream on a sunny afternoon, there was something for every age to enjoy.
Our fete buzzed with the lively tunes of live music, the aroma of delicious refreshments, and the spirit of friendly competition at the various games crafted by one of our talented residents. Guests had the opportunity to unwind and rejuvenate with calming yoga sessions, invigorating exercise classes, and much more, creating a day filled with fun and relaxation for all.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed, participated, and supported this event. Your generosity and involvement played a significant role in making our Spring Fete a resounding success. Together, we have not only created lasting memories for our residents and visitors but have also made a meaningful impact on the lives of the children at Vranch House School. Your dedication is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to future opportunities to come together and make a difference in our community. Thank you all for your unwavering support!
